Update Your Family File Information Before School Begins!  Help us achieve a 100% completion rate before the first day of school.

HCPSS uses Family File for parents/guardians to complete emergency information.

Parents/guardians must verify and/or update information for each child, and can do so by doing the following: log in to HCPSS Connect and select the Family File tab; then click on Family File.

Once logged in, parents/guardians will be asked to provide or update the following information:
•    Student information
•    Parent/guardian contact
•    Emergency contacts
•    Medical information
•    Arrival/dismissal procedures
•    Media release (photo approval)
•    Data confidentiality
•    PTA/PTSA directory

Changes of address may not be made through Family File. If you have recently moved, please contact your child’s school as soon as possible.

For students who are bus riders, please note that bus numbers and routes shown in Family File may be subject to change. Please check the school and bus locator on the HCPSS website.

6th Grade Orientation will be held on Friday, August 31st  from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM. Students will also have an opportunity to see the school, practice with their lockers, and learn all about what Patapsco has to offer! For parents, this will be a time for you to hear about different procedures at Patapsco and a brief Q&A. So please join us and welcome to the Patapsco Knighthood!

PE Uniform

The online Patapsco Middle School PE Uniform Store has been re-opened! Orders can be placed through September 7th. Uniforms will be shipped directly to your home. Students who do not have a school uniform will need to bring their own white or grey t-shirt and black or blue shorts/pants to wear during Physical Education class. Items brought from home must be free of logos and graphics. This year Physical Education uniforms will be purchased online only at the following link: https://patapscomiddleperound218.itemorder.com/sale

Homeroom

Student homeroom assignments are posted on our website. Students will go to their homeroom at the beginning of each day. In addition, 7th and 8th grade students will receive their 2018-2019 schedule in their homeroom on the first day of school. 6th grade students will receive their schedule at our New Student and Family Orientation on August 31st. Grade 6 students (or brand new to Patapsco Middle for grades 7th and 8th) who do not attend the orientation will receive their schedule in homeroom on the first day of school.

Student Emails

Students in grades 6-12 have had restricted Office 365 email and G Suite accounts that only permit sending to and receiving from other HCPSS accounts.  Beginning in the 2018-19 school year, secondary students will have the ability to use their “@inst.hcpss.org” email account to send and receive email outside of HCPSS.  They will also have the ability to share items (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Drive) from their G Suite to outside HCPSS domains, or non-HCPSS accounts.   School librarians will include information and lessons about these changes during media orientation at the beginning of the school year.  Students will learn how to access the email account, share and send information safely to users outside HCPSS, and maintain password security.
