Patapsco students will continue to participate in the Maryland Comprehensive Assessment Program (MCAP) over the next few weeks. Please read the following carefully to help your student be prepared. We want to congratulate our 6th graders who started this week and did an excellent job!
What is MCAP?
The Maryland Comprehensive Assessment Program (MCAP) provides information to educators, parents and the public on student progress towards proficiency on the Maryland College and Career Ready Standards. Through a strong assessment system, stakeholders gain an understanding of how schools are performing and where assistance can be directed to support student growth and achievement.
Students will be testing on the following dates.
ELA MCAP: 6th grade- April 28th and 29th (finished)*
7th grade- May 3rd and May 5th
8th grade- May 6th and May 9th
SS MCAP: May 10th and May 11th (8th graders only)
Math MCAP: 8th grade- May 16th and May 17th
7th grade- May 19th and 20th
6th grade- May 23rd and May 24th
