HCPSS News is now Powered by SchoolMessenger, a notification service provider. Using email and text alerts, HCPSS News keeps parents/guardians, staff, and community members up to date on news and events, and delivers real-time information on bus schedule changes, weather-related closings and emergency information.
To comply with wireless carrier requirements all subscribers of HCPSS News will receive a text message from SchoolMessenger on Friday, November 14th that will allow them to opt into receiving text alerts. If subscribers do not want to receive text messages, then they do not have to opt in.
Parents/guardians of HCPSS students do not need to sign up for, or manage an HCPSS News account. Utilizing contact information submitted through the Emergency Card process, parents and guardians will automatically receive messages from the district and from our school. You can view your emergency procedure card information for correctness in Family Portal. Parents should not subscribe to receive emails sent via HCPSS News unless you wish to receive notifications from schools other than those to which your child(ren) is(are) currently enrolled.
