The 2019 Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Career (PARCC) assessments will be administered from May 1 – 22, 2019. Students will test in both English Language Arts (ELA) and math.
It is essential that all students come to school on-time on testing days, and we ask that you not schedule appointments or early dismissals on those days as well. Please note that students will have to take PARCC during a make-up session for any missed portions of the assessment, so your help with ensuring your child is in school on his/her scheduled testing days will help avoid this.
PARCC is longer than a typical classroom assessment. With that, we ask that you please ensure that your child receives a good breakfast on the days of the test as well as a good night’s sleep the night before each testing day. In addition, if your student wears eyeglasses or hearing aids, be sure that he/she comes to school with them during the days of testing.
Finally, please help us encourage your student to feel relaxed and confident during PARCC, and as always, thank you for your support and flexibility!
