Parent/Teacher Conferences

Fri, 10/23/2015 - 2:00pm

Parent/Teacher Conferences are scheduled for February 4-5, 2016.  Parents/guardians will once again use Synergy Conference Management to schedule parent–teacher conferences online. Beginnning Monday, January 25 through Monday, February 1st, 8:00 am, parents/guardians can log into HCPSS Connect to view and select available time slots to meet with teachers.

The purpose of this conference window is to allow parents/guardians the opportunity for a quick meet and greet with staff to discuss student progress. Accordingly, each conference slot is ten minutes long. If you have a pressing concern, you are strongly encouraged to contact the teacher to discuss it outside of the conference window. Synergy Conference Management does not allow for the scheduling of group conferences. If you would like to meet with all of your students’ teachers at one time, please contact the grade level team leader to schedule an appointment. When scheduling conferences, be certain to build in travel time from one conference to the next, as it is important to stay on schedule. We do not recommend scheduling your conferences back-to-back as you will lose meeting time while traveling from one classroom to the next.

To permit access to our staff by all parents with interest, we ask that you schedule conferences for those classes for which you have concerns. Unlike your experience in elementary school, middle level educators do not have a slot for each and every student. So, please be strategic about who you’d like to see and mindful of the need for your neighbors to have the same access.

For step by step directions, please refer to the attachment below.  We look forward to seeing you during conference week. Should you have any questions or require assistance scheduling your appointments, please contact Vanessa Hooks, Student Services Secretary, by calling 410-313-2850 or via email at Vanessa_Hooks@hcpss.org. For inquires about availability or course specific questions, please contact the teacher directly.
