PDFs of MAP Fall Home Reports
Similar to winter of 2020, the pdf of the MAP home reports are available for the parents to view in Parent Connect. It is the same location that report cards are posted. Parents may go to the Fall 2020 FAQ page, which also has instructions for accessing the home report (Direct Link to MAP Access FAQ).
Questions Parents May Have:
-
My child did not participate in the assessment, why do they have a home report?
-
MAP generates a home report for all rostered students. The report will contain their most recent scores.
-
-
When I look at older home reports the percentiles do not match this new report, why is that happening?
-
NWEA conducts norming studies that improve the accuracy of growth predictions and update percentile ranks. The most recent norming study was released in 2020 and updated those historical percentiles. The overall RIT score stays the same, but the percentile may change by a few points.
-
-
Why is the growth prediction for winter instead of spring?
-
Depending on state testing overlap, we may use just the winter or spring administration. Testing for spring will be heavily dependent on which instructional model is being conducted.

From the Patapsco Music Boosters
We welcome all parents of students in performing ensembles (Band, Chorus, and Orchestra) to our next meeting of the Patapsco Music Boosters at 7 PM on Tuesday, November 17th, 2020. The virtual meeting will be held on Zoom.
Attention 8th grade parents: This is the last Boosters' meeting of the school year before 8th graders will have to select their high school classes (January). Because of that, the evening will be a special event where you can hear from Mt. Hebron High School music directors about the high school course offerings and requirements. There will be a presentation and question and answer period with Mr. Joe Fischer (Band), Mr. Nick Dogas (Chorus), and Dr. David Shumway (Orchestra) from the Viking ensembles! We are extremely grateful that the high school directors are giving their time to be with us, and hope that many of you can join us for this informative event! The remainder of the Patapsco Music Boosters' agenda items will take place following "Meet the MHHS Directors." Below is the Zoom link information:
