  • All class assignments will be posted by 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2020.  Assignments will not be due until Monday, June 1, 2020 at 9:00 a.m.

The regular distance learning weekly schedule will resume June 1, 2020.

8th Grade Celebration Video

Dear 8th graders and families,

We are looking forward to celebrating you as eighth graders! We are excited that you are entering your next chapter as a high school student but we will miss you! A team of teachers and students will be creating a celebration video to the Patapsco Class of 2020. In anticipation of a video of this sort, a bank of photographs of current 8th graders has already been started to help the team creating this video, however, we could always use additional photos to add to the bank of photos we already have in order to help the video committee select photos and ensure that each student is represented.

Please consider selecting photos of any Patapsco 8th grader, whether it is an individual photo or a group of 8th graders, from this 8th grade class’ years (grade 6-8) at Patapsco.

Ms. Salsman has created an “Assignment” in the 8th Grade Community Course to collect these photos so that they can be added to our photo bank. The team of teachers creating the video will then be able to choose from these photos to create a video that is memorable, unique, and representative of the entire Patapsco Class of 2020.

To contribute to this bank of photos, please visit the 8th Grade Community Course Homepage and look for an assignment titled, “Celebration Video Pictures”. All photos can be uploaded to that “assignment” to be included in the photo bank.

If you have any questions, please contact Kalina_Salsman@hcpss.org  (8th Grade Team Leader) and/or Samantha_Glass@hcpss.org  (G/T Resource Teacher).

Thanks for all you’ve done to make our school great as the Patapsco Middle Class of 2020 Knights!

Field Trip Refunds

HCPSS continues to work with our vendors to attempt to secure refunds for canceled field trips. Any funds recovered will be disbursed to families as soon as possible; however, HCPSS will be unable to process refunds until school buildings reopen. Details are provided online.

Memory Books

Due to the current school closure, Jostens has extended the deadline for online yearbook ordering through June 1. Orders can be submitted through jostensyearbooks.com. The books will be shipped to the school and distributed when we return to the building or we will notify purchasers of when the books will be available for pick-up. Please contact kalina_salsman@hcpss.org with any questions.

Attention future Patapsco Knights!!

Save the date…We will have our rising 6th grade visitation day on Monday, June 8th at 9:30 AM. We will have a recorded video portion and a live/virtual portion through Google Meet. Look for more information soon. We can’t wait to “see” our newest Knights!
